Land Acknowledgement

Spark Adventure Photography Workshops operates from the Anishinaabek territory, as recognized in the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850 and the Williams Treaty of 1923. First nations people in the area include Ojibway, Chippewa, Odawa, Pottawatomi, and Mohawk.

We respectfully give a land acknowledgement that is specific to where each workshop takes place at the start of each day that includes the traditional lands, history of settlement, colonialism, and stolen land, as well as the indigenous people in the area.

In addition to each unique land acknowledgement, we commit a 10% donation from each purchased workshop to a local indigenous organization or the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS).
